The School Journey

I provide a range of services for students to assist with the journey through school years’ education. My support tends to be most significant for the final years at school, as young people face the challenges of public examination (GCSEs & IGCSEs, A levels and the International Baccalaureate Diploma) and the crowning moment - progression to university study.

School placement (including moving to the UK)

Aside from major transitions – moving into senior school, up to sixth form and on to university – there are sometimes transitions you hadn’t originally planned for – the need to change school for personal reasons.

Finding the right school – especially where it involves relocation for a family or to send a child a long way away from home to board – can be very demanding. The support I offer will help dispel any worries and make the whole process exciting and enjoyable.

Because the focus of all my work is on the individual student, what is best and right for them, parents value my advice, knowing they will gain a unique perspective, one based in an understanding of their child and the whole family’s wishes. I aim to find a school that suits your exact needs.

I provide support where parents have had to relocate within the UK, move to the UK, or move overseas. My support is also valued where a child has struggled at school and is looking for an environment where they will progress happily.

Aside from helping at the moment of transition by finding the right school I often am invited to continue working with the student and their family providing continuous academic mentorship, a service I am always very happy to offer.

Support with home schooling

I am often asked to design, direct, and manage whole school programmes where a young person, for one reason or another, finds themselves homeschooling.

In the circumstances I am there to ensure everything works harmoniously with a clear goal in mind, liaising with and managing tutors sourced by parents or working alongside a tutorial organisation engaged by a family.

My role is very much to be a mentor for as long or as little a time as you wish, ensuring smooth progression through key public examinations at (I)GCSE and A level/ International Baccalaureate Diploma, then on to university.

Applying to world class universities

I provide support with all aspects of planning and progression to university, assisting students at every stage of the application process. Whether you know exactly what you want to do or have no idea whatsoever I can guide and support you. If you are studying at a school or college, I’m happy to liaise with those leading your application.

I pay close attention to every last detail of your application and will help you build a full understanding of all you will encounter at university level, from the environment in which you will study to the content of your selected course. The goal is to find yourself happy on arrival and on a pathway through degree level study that will excite and shape a lifetime’s understanding and offer you a range of career choices that will bring great fulfilment.

If you click here you will also see that once you are at university I can offer further support with the next stage of your journey.
