Second Time Around – Returning to Study and Re-sits

For some young people things go off track and they find themselves at a standstill, seemingly unable to move forward. School qualifications still need to be completed before making the transition to university to fulfil ambitions.

Almost inevitably, such students find they have lost at least a year of study, and, when you are young, feeling that you have fallen behind is a devastating experience. One year ‘lost’ can feel like forever, opportunities have gone, and it is all too late. It is awful for any young person to feel they are on the outside looking in.

I cannot stress strongly enough that it is never too late; nothing is lost and everything can be gained.

In my work with students looking to resit examinations – or to take examinations for the first time when a little older – I work to create a renewed sense of identity, of personal worth. Students who have battled to overcome challenges are (if only a little) older and therefore wiser and, with guidance, often go on to get the very best out of the education system, both in sixth form and beyond.

I offer a full range of services to students who find themselves in overtime which you will find detailed here principally under the headings Support with home schooling and Applying to world class universities.

No two students are ever the same and this is never more true than of students who find themselves returning to education after a break. I’m always delighted to be contacted to help you face and overcome these challenges, to understand your unique experience, and then to help you find your way to future happiness and success.

Independent living very much suits students returning to sixth form study after a break so do explore all that Findley Properties has to offer https://www.findleyproperties.co.uk/lettings
